The School of Law and Business of Hubei University of Economics was established in March 2003 with the approval of the Ministry of Education of China. It is a non-profit full-time general undergraduate college jointly organized by Hubei University of Economics and Hubei Yiyou Property Management Co., Ltd. It is located on the shore of the scenic Thomson Lake in Wuhan, covers an area of more than 500 acres, and is a modern university with humanities and ecology. Since its establishment, the school has always adhered to the path of "resource sharing, complementary advantages, long-term dependence, and common development" with the host university Hubei University of Economics, giving full play to the advantages of "superior location, convenient transportation, resource sharing, and efficient management", and setting up majors with a close eye on the needs of economic and social development. The school currently has 668 teachers, including 551 full-time teachers and 302 teachers with associate senior titles or above, accounting for 54.8%. The school fully implements the party's education policy, adheres to the socialist direction of running schools, implements the fundamental task of moral education, practices the core socialist values, adheres to the school motto of "Mingde Shangxue, Duxing Zhixin", and promotes the legal and business spirit of "tenacity and self-reliance, dedication and group, pragmatic responsibility, and forging ahead". Focusing on the goal of cultivating "three haves and three types" talents with ideals, abilities, responsibilities, application-oriented, innovative, and practical, the school vigorously implements the development strategy of "quality-based school, talent-based school, characteristic-based school, and cultural-based school". We continue to deepen the reform of education and teaching. While comprehensively reforming majors, improving course quality, cultivating classroom theory teaching, and cultivating practical innovation capabilities, we also widely carry out campus culture construction and social practice activities. We encourage students to participate in discipline competitions and win awards in various discipline competitions across the country and the province. Accounting, marketing, finance, and e-commerce majors have been approved as provincial first-class undergraduate major construction points. "Marketing", "Intermediate Financial Accounting", "Virtual Simulation Experiment of Building Heating System", "Personal Investment and Financial Management", "Logo Design" and other 10 courses have been approved as provincial first-class undergraduate courses. The Marketing Teaching and Research Section, Accounting Teaching and Research Section, Finance Course Group, and English Major Teaching and Research Section have been approved as provincial excellent grassroots teaching organizations. Won two Hubei Higher Education Teaching Achievement Awards. The school strengthens cooperation and exchanges with domestic and foreign universities, introduces high-quality educational resources, advanced educational and teaching concepts and high-quality university courses at home and abroad, and has established foreign exchange mechanisms with Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, Western Sydney University, Birmingham University College, UK, University of Murcia, Spain, Montgomery Auburn University, USA, and China University of Science and Technology, Taiwan, etc., to provide students with a variety of further study channels such as "3+1 undergraduate double bachelor's degree", "junior college to master's degree", "undergraduate to master's degree", and "master's preparatory course", and build a new mechanism for all-round and in-depth collaborative education.
