Huishang Vocational College originated from the Anhui Material School, a national key technical secondary school founded in 1965, and was independently upgraded in 2007. It has successively won the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, the second prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, and the Outstanding Contribution Award for Logistics Development in Anhui Province. It is the first batch of national vocational education talent training bases for commercial services, the national vocational education logistics talent training base, the member unit of the National Logistics Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee, the pilot college of the Ministry of Education's modern apprenticeship system, the pilot college of the Ministry of Education's "1+X" certificate system, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education's practical training base construction college, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's industry-education integration professional cooperation construction pilot unit, Anhui Province's local skill-based high-level university construction unit, Anhui Province's skill competition benchmarking college, and Anhui Province Logistics Teacher Training Center. There are currently 6 departments, offering 32 majors in seven categories, including finance and trade, electronic information, equipment manufacturing, civil engineering, tourism, medicine and health, and transportation, of which 16 majors are provincial key construction majors. The logistics management major is a backbone major of the Ministry of Education, the big data and accounting, and big data technology majors are pilot majors for the integration of industry and education of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the logistics management and chain operation management majors are central financial support majors, financial information management, Internet of Things application technology, marketing and other majors are provincial specialty majors, accounting, accounting computerization, e-commerce and other majors are provincial comprehensive reform pilot majors. In the past three years, students have won more than 100 awards in national and provincial skill competitions. The college currently has 253 teachers, 1 candidate for Anhui Provincial Academic and Technical Leader, 18 provincial teaching masters, 21 provincial teaching rookies, and 24 provincial teaching teams. Relying on the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the college has built 39 on-campus internship and training bases and 83 off-campus internship and training bases for the modern service industry. It has carried out order-based talent training such as "Sinotrans Logistics Class", "Ande Logistics Class", "Chaoyang Logistics Class" and "Lecheng Class" with large enterprises such as China National Foreign Trade Transportation Corporation, China Shipping Group Corporation, Ande Logistics Co., Ltd., and Baogong Logistics Enterprise Group; it has jointly established a "Software Technology Class" with the School of Software of the University of Science and Technology of China and iFLYTEK; and jointly established the Huishang Steel Trade Modern Industry College with the Anhui Steel Trade Association. It is a training base for leading enterprises in Anhui Province such as Anhui Salt Industry Corporation, Anhui Water Conservancy Materials Co., Ltd., and Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Tongguan Logistics Co., Ltd. It is also a training and examination site for multiple qualification certifications such as the Logistics Professional Qualification Training Center, Anhui China Shipping Logistics Teacher Training Center, and ERP.
