Hunan Geely Automotive Vocational and Technical College is a full-time general higher vocational college registered with the Ministry of Education of China and approved by the People's Government of Hunan Province. It is invested and established by Geely Holding Group and focuses on cultivating highly skilled talents in the automotive field. Founded in 2012, the school is located in Jiuhua Economic Development Zone, Xiangtan City, a national-level economic and technological development zone in the southern suburbs of Changsha. It is a talent training base designated by the China Society of Automotive Engineers. There are more than 6,000 full-time students on campus. It has successively won the honors of Hunan Province's Excellent Private School and Hunan Province's Advanced Unit for Education Poverty Alleviation. The school has three secondary colleges, namely the Automotive College, the Artificial Intelligence and Software College, and the Humanities and Management College. It includes seven departments, namely the Department of Automotive Engineering, the Department of New Energy Vehicles, the Department of Software Technology, the Department of Intelligent Manufacturing, the Department of Management, the Department of Humanities, and the Department of English, and offers 20 majors. Among them, the major of automobile manufacturing and assembly technology was selected into the "Hunan Province Higher Vocational Education First-Class Characteristic Professional Group Cultivation Project". The school actively promotes the integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and has initially formed a "dual-subject" education model of school-enterprise. The school has formed the "Three Good Education" school-running concept of "good character, good habits, and good skills", and has innovated gratitude education, labor education, inspirational education, and innovative entrepreneurship education, laying a solid foundation for students to grow and become talents. The school respects and encourages students to develop healthy interests and hobbies, and has established various student clubs.
