Hunan University of Science and Technology Xiaoxiang College is a full-time undergraduate independent college organized by Hunan University of Science and Technology, approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government, and confirmed by the Ministry of Education. It is located in Xiangtan, Hunan, a historical and cultural city and the hometown of Mao Zedong, a great man of the generation. The college implements the dean responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors, and Professor Zhu Chuanqu, president of Hunan University of Science and Technology, serves as the chairman. The college has successively won the "Hunan Private Education Quality Resource Award" and the "National Coal Industry May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Committee" and other awards.
