Hunan Women's University is a full-time public undergraduate college organized by the People's Government of Hunan Province. The school was founded in 1985. In 2010, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education and joined the World Women's Education Alliance. In 2014, it passed the bachelor's degree authorization assessment, and in 2018, it passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education.
