Inner Mongolia Communications Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1974. It has always adhered to the school-running philosophy of "moral education first, skills first, and education first", focusing on cultivating high-quality modern transportation talents. It is known as the "cradle of transportation talents in the northern border of the motherland". It is a national advanced unit of vocational education, a unit with outstanding contributions to the cultivation of national skilled talents, a national demonstration college of transportation vocational education, a national demonstration specialty of transportation, a Bosch school-enterprise cooperation project college, and the first batch of demonstration higher vocational colleges in the autonomous region. The college campus covers an area of more than 400 acres, and the comprehensive training base covers an area of more than 3,400 acres. There are more than 11,000 students at various levels of training, including vocational undergraduates, higher vocational colleges, junior high school starting from five years of higher vocational colleges, and technicians. There are 627 full-time and part-time teachers, 54% of whom are "dual-qualified" teachers. One national technical expert, one national transportation vocational education master, two "grassland talents" of the autonomous region, three technical experts of the autonomous region, seven teaching masters of the autonomous region, and seven teaching teams of the autonomous region have been cultivated. The college insists on cultivating souls and educating people with Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, building a "political and ideological courses + ideological and political courses + three-dimensional education" system, building the autonomous region's ideological and political master studio, and the autonomous region's college mental health education demonstration center, creating a new highland for cultural education, guiding teachers and students of all ethnic groups to cultivate patriotic feelings, lay a good "Chinese background", and promote the socialist core values to take root on campus. Focusing on the concept of "big transportation, new transportation", it has created 7 major specialty groups, including automobile, road and bridge, construction, electrical, logistics, rail transportation, and air transportation, with a total of 40 majors, including 1 national transportation demonstration major, 2 autonomous region key construction majors, 4 autonomous region brand majors, and 6 autonomous region quality courses, basically forming a coordinated development of modern comprehensive transportation professional system. Collaborative education leads the innovative development of industry-education integration. The college actively builds a close school-enterprise cooperation mechanism with employment demand orientation, in-depth industry guidance, and deep integration of industry and education. We have successively set up order-based project classes such as Bosch Engineer Class, FAW-Volkswagen Engineer Class, JD Logistics Class, and Xianheng International Class; we have cooperated with enterprises to build a community of shared destiny for school-enterprise cooperation, such as the Rail Transit Industry College, Civil Aviation Special Vehicle Training College, UAV Flight College, Crew Training Base, and Aviation Project Department, and jointly developed professional and course resources, built internship and training bases, cultivated a "double-qualified" teacher team, promoted scientific and technological innovation, and built an integrated modern transportation vocational education platform to effectively promote graduates to higher quality and fuller employment. In recent years, the employment rate of college graduates has remained above 95%, and the satisfaction of graduates and employers has remained above 97%, showing a good trend of high level, high starting salary, high matching rate, and high stability rate. As the first batch of pilot colleges and the leading unit of the autonomous region's pilot, the college has vigorously promoted the 1+X certificate pilot work, and has carried out 3 batches of 11 X certificate assessments for 13 majors, deepening the "integration of courses, posts, and certificates", integrating the standards and content of vocational skill level certificates into talent training programs, and deepening the reform of compound talent training and evaluation models.
