Baotou Normal College is located in Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, a "grassland steel city" known as the "World's Rare Earth Capital" and "The World's Green Silicon Capital". The school was formerly Baotou Normal College founded in 1958. In 1996, it was renamed Baotou Normal College.
