Ji'an Vocational and Technical College is a full-time comprehensive public general higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province and registered by the Ministry of Education of China, integrating industry, agriculture, commerce, medicine, art, and teacher education. It officially enrolled students in September 2014. Since its establishment, the school has insisted on leading high-quality development with high-quality party building. It has successively won the honorary titles of the Provincial Advanced Grassroots Party Organization, the Provincial May 1st Labor Award, the Provincial May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee, the Provincial Civilized Campus, the Provincial Safe Campus, and the Provincial Labor Education Characteristic Demonstration School. It won the third prize of the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and was awarded the "National Vocational College Intangible Cultural Heritage Education Inheritance Demonstration Base" and "National Vocational College Traditional Skills Inheritance Demonstration Base" by the Vocational College Cultural Quality Education Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education. In May 2023, it was selected as a high-level vocational school construction unit in Jiangxi Province. The school is located in Ji'an, and currently has two campuses on Ji'an South Avenue and Nantang Road, with a total area of about 810,000 square meters and a construction area of about 490,000 square meters. It has 36 higher vocational majors, 617 faculty members, including 495 full-time teachers, 422 with master's degrees or above, and 11,480 full-time students. 416 experimental training centers have been built inside and outside the school, and the value of training teaching equipment has reached 134 million yuan. It has 2 provincial-level high-level construction professional groups, 2 joint training majors, and 1 provincial-level specialty. It has 16 provincial-level courses, 12 provincial-level teaching achievement awards, and students have won 785 provincial-level skill competition awards. In the "Internet +" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, it won 2 national silver medals and 19 provincial awards. Teachers have won 70 provincial-level awards, 221 provincial and ministerial-level scientific research projects, 1,091 papers have been published, 412 patents, and 11 scientific research platforms at or above the municipal level. In the process of running the school, the school has explored and practiced three development models: the school-running model of relying on big and strong, the training model of integrating production and education, and the education model of red soul casting.
