Jiangsu Construction Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time college in Jiangsu Province, a national model higher vocational college, a national high-quality higher vocational college, a national "double high plan" construction unit, a Jiangsu Province excellent higher vocational college construction unit, and a Jiangsu Province high-level higher vocational college construction unit. The school is located in Xuzhou, one of the three major metropolitan areas in Jiangsu Province and the central city of the Huaihai Economic Zone. The predecessor of the school was the Third Technical School of the Capital Construction Engineering Corps, which was established in 1979 with the approval of the State Council and the Central Military Commission. In 1983, it was transferred to the management of the former Ministry of Coal Industry and renamed Xuzhou Coal Construction Engineering School. In 1998, it was transferred to the management of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and was upgraded to Xuzhou Construction Vocational and Technical College in 1999 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In 2011, it was renamed Jiangsu Construction Vocational and Technical College. The school is located in Quanshan Scenic Area, Xuzhou City, covering an area of 1,012 acres. There are more than 14,600 full-time students and more than 10,000 students in adult education. The school actively implements the strategy of strengthening the school with talents. There are nearly 1,020 faculty members, including 102 senior professional titles and 125 doctoral teachers.
