Jiangsu Engineering Vocational and Technical College is a provincial public full-time general higher education institution. The school originated from China's first textile school founded by the famous patriotic industrialist and educator Mr. Zhang Jian in 1912. It has a history of more than 110 years and has a profound cultural heritage. It has contributed to the economic and social construction and development of Jiangsu and even the whole country. In 1999, the school was independently upgraded to "Nantong Textile Vocational and Technical College" with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
