Jingjiang College of Jiangsu University is a public-private secondary college established in 1999. In 2005, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to become an independent college jointly organized by Jiangsu University and Jiangsu University Education Development Foundation. It has been rated as one of the "Top Ten Excellent Independent Colleges" and "The Most Popular Independent College for Candidates" in the country. The college ranks 56th in the "2023 China Independent College Comprehensive Strength Ranking". The college's host university, Jiangsu University, has a century-old history of running schools. It has 2 national key disciplines, 1 national key (cultivation) discipline, and 10 advantageous disciplines of Jiangsu universities. It has 15 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 45 first-level discipline master programs, and 21 master's professional degree categories. It has 13 postdoctoral research mobile stations. It is a university jointly built by the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. It is the first batch of high-level university construction universities in Jiangsu Province and the national undergraduate teaching level. The college is located in the Shili Changshan University Park in Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, a historical and cultural city at the apex of the Yangtze River Delta known as the "urban forest". The campus covers an area of 850 acres and a building area of 270,000 square meters. It is a modern green and low-carbon campus with first-class environment and facilities, digitalization, intelligence, and ecology. It has a 36,000 square meter graphic information center, a 48,000 square meter laboratory, and 124 advanced multimedia classrooms with 11,658 seats with functions such as remote video, fully automatic recording and broadcasting, and screen projection interaction. The total value of the college's teaching and scientific research equipment is more than 65 million yuan. In 2022, in the 14th National College Mathematics Competition, 3 students from Jingjiang were among the top 16 in the Jiangsu Division, and the college won the Outstanding Organization Award for the Competition. In 2023, in the 14th National College Mathematics Competition, the college won 1 first prize and 2 third prizes, ranking 85th in the country, 9th in Jiangsu, and 1st among independent colleges in terms of total number of awards; in the finals of the 8th International College Students Intelligent Agricultural Equipment Innovation Competition, the college won 1 special prize and 2 second prizes. The students trained by the college are widely welcomed by the society. The graduation destination implementation rate of graduates has remained stable at more than 90%, the graduate entrance examination pass rate has remained above 23%, and the English level 4 pass rate has been above 80%. Every year, outstanding students from Jingjiang enter domestic "985" and "Double First-Class" universities and foreign famous universities for further study. At present, the college has established long-term cooperative relations with universities in more than a dozen countries.
