Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of Information Technology is a state-owned public general college approved by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is a construction unit of a high-level vocational college with Chinese characteristics in Jiangsu Province. The predecessor of the school, Sunan Workers' Technical School, was founded in 1953. It was the first secondary vocational school of electronics in New China. In 1960, it was renamed Wuxi Radio Industry School. In August 2002, the national key technical secondary school Wuxi Radio Industry School and the national vocational education center Wuxi Xishan Vocational Education Center founded in 1997 merged, realizing the improvement of talent training level and the upgrading of the system, and embarked on a new journey of higher vocational education. The school has been established for more than 70 years. It has always shared the fate of the country and the nation, and has embarked on a scientific development path of persistence and exploration, inheritance and innovation, struggle and transcendence. The school is located in Wuxi City, on the shore of the beautiful Taihu Lake. It currently has two campuses, Outang and Dongting, covering an area of 1,165 acres and a building area of 367,000 square meters.
