Jiangxi Flight Academy is a public undergraduate general college led and managed by Jiangxi Province, which was established in December 2023 with the approval of the Ministry of Education by integrating the resources of Jiangxi Economic Management Cadre College and Jiangxi Ji'an Aviation Sports School. The school has two campuses in Nanchang and Ji'an, with a total area of 1,612 acres. There are 7,320 full-time students; 351 full-time teachers, including 144 full-time teachers with associate senior or above qualifications and 195 teachers with postgraduate degrees; it has 239.5496 million yuan of teaching equipment, including 15 primary trainer aircraft and 1 intermediate trainer aircraft. There is an A3-level general aviation airport with an aircraft runway of 800 meters long and 30 meters wide. It has been approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China for commercial non-transport aviation operator operation certificate (CCAR-91), civil aircraft pilot school certificate (CCAR-141) and AOPA civil drone pilot training center and drone system engineer training center certificate. The school has opened six undergraduate majors, including flight technology, aircraft manufacturing engineering (maintenance direction), leisure sports (aviation sports direction), logistics engineering (aviation logistics direction), financial management and marketing. The next step will focus on the construction of four major professional clusters: air transportation, aviation sports, aviation operation and maintenance, and low-altitude economy, to cultivate high-quality innovative, application-oriented, and compound aviation flight engineering technology and management talents, and strive to build a high-level application-oriented undergraduate college with distinctive characteristics of aviation flight and aviation sports.
