Jinjiang College of Sichuan University is a general undergraduate college jointly established by Sichuan University and Sichuan Xufeng Industrial Co., Ltd. in April 2006 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The school is a construction unit for the master's degree awarding project in Sichuan Province. There are disciplines in the Gongga Plan for the "Double First-Class" Construction of Sichuan Province, the first batch of characteristic Marxist colleges in Sichuan Province, a high-level research team of philosophy and social sciences in Sichuan Province, a popularization base of philosophy and social sciences in Sichuan Province, and a project of the Excellent Engineer Training Program in Sichuan Province. The school has been ranked first in the Alumni Association Network's China Independent College Ranking for many years. The school inherits the century-old heritage of Sichuan University and cultivates the millennium Dongpo cultural context. The school insists on creating "golden courses" to improve the quality of courses. There are 26 provincial courses such as Sichuan Province's first-class courses, applied demonstration courses, innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration courses, and "curriculum ideological and political" demonstration courses, 2 "curriculum ideological and political" demonstration teaching teams, and 1 benchmark department.
