Kaifeng University is located in Kaifeng, a famous historical and cultural city in China and the ancient capital of eight dynasties. It was founded in 1980. It is a full-time general college with six major disciplines of engineering, management, literature, economics, medicine and art, approved by the Henan Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. It is sponsored by the Kaifeng Municipal People's Government. The school covers an area of 1,754 acres, with a total construction area of about 668,400 square meters, and about 372,500 square meters of teaching, scientific research and administrative buildings; the total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 207.8017 million yuan; the library has a construction area of 38,000 square meters, with a collection of 1.6573 million paper books and 25,377 electronic professional journals. The school has 15 colleges and departments, 53 permanent majors, more than 15,000 full-time students, and students come from 30 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) across the country.
