Kunlun College of Qinghai University is located in the Biotechnology Industrial Park of Xining City, Qinghai Province. It is an independent college established in 2004 with the approval of the Ministry of Education and organized by Qinghai University. It is also the only full-time general undergraduate independent college in Qinghai Province. The college relies on Qinghai University to run schools and shares the teaching staff, laboratories and other educational and teaching resources of Qinghai University. The college adheres to the excellent school-running tradition, educational philosophy and school motto of Qinghai University of "ambitions are comparable to Kunlun, learning is competitive in rivers", takes moral education as the foundation, adheres to the school-running philosophy of "people-oriented, moral education first, ability first, and comprehensive development", adheres to the school-running idea of "relying on Qingda, standardizing school-running, focusing on quality, and highlighting characteristics", and is committed to cultivating application-oriented talents for local and regional social and economic development needs. The college has 18 undergraduate majors, covering four major disciplines of economics, management, science, and engineering, and currently has more than 3,000 students.
