Liaoning Construction Vocational College is a state-owned, provincial, full-time general higher vocational college, affiliated to the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education. The school is located in the ancient city of Liaoyang. It was founded in 1951 and has a history of more than 70 years of vocational education. It has made outstanding contributions to the country's economic and social development. After years of development and construction, the school has become the first batch of demonstration vocational colleges in Liaoning Province, a high-level modern vocational college in Liaoning Province, a vocational education reform in Liaoning Province with significant results, and a project construction unit of Xingliao Excellent College (Class A) and Xingliao Excellent Professional Group (Class A); it is a national demonstration software vocational and technical college, a national vocational college digital campus model school, a pilot college of the Ministry of Education's 1+X certificate system, and a national modern apprenticeship system pilot unit. The school currently has three campuses in the south, north, and west. The total campus area is more than 500,000 square meters, with a building area of more than 300,000 square meters; the total value of teaching instruments and equipment is 138 million yuan; the library has more than 600,000 paper books, more than 60,000 electronic books, and 14 Chinese and foreign databases. The school currently has 717 faculty and staff, 97 of whom are senior professors, 237 are associate professors, 379 have graduate degrees, and the proportion of "double-qualified" teachers has reached 79%. Among them, there are 31 talents at the 100,000-level, 8 professional leaders in Liaoning Province, 7 famous teachers in Liaoning Province, and 8 excellent teaching teams in Liaoning Province. The school also has 298 part-time teachers, all of whom are well-known experts and skilled craftsmen in the industry and enterprises. In the past three years, teachers have won more than 60 awards in various teaching competitions at the provincial level and above, and students have won more than 200 awards in various skill competitions at the provincial level and above. The school currently has 12 secondary teaching units such as the School of Civil Engineering and a directly affiliated secondary vocational school, with 39 majors in five categories: civil engineering, electronic information, intelligent manufacturing, financial management, and modern services. The school continues to promote the construction of key majors supported by the central government, provincial brands and demonstration majors, provincial key construction docking industrial clusters, and provincial boutique course resources. After years of construction and development, the school's internship and training base has formed a good development trend of standardization, systematization and scale, and has been identified by the Ministry of Education as a national numerical control technology training base, a national computer software and application technology training base, a training base for key teachers of higher vocational colleges in Liaoning Province, and a re-employment training base in Liaoyang City. The school continues to deepen the reform of vocational education, shape the brand of vocational education, create the professional characteristics of vocational education, build an efficient linkage mechanism of industry, academia, research and training, and enhance the core competitiveness of the school. It has been approved as a new type of college think tank in Liaoning Province-a think tank for the development of higher vocational education characteristics; the Intelligent Manufacturing Industry College and the Xinchuang Industry College have been approved as the Liaoning Vocational Education Xingliao Industry College; a mixed-ownership secondary college-Qicheng College has been established; Liaoning Information Technology, Liaoning Construction Equipment and Liaoning Architectural Decoration Vocational Education Group and six local school-enterprise alliances have been established, and two major professional collaborations of Liaoning Province's construction engineering technology and architectural design have been established; 14 enterprise expert workstations and 22 enterprise teacher workstations have been established, forming a good operation and maintenance pattern of deep integration and development of schools and enterprises with diversified structures, multi-level cooperation, and multi-channel training. The school attaches great importance to the international development of higher vocational education, and has established academic exchanges and in-depth school cooperation with more than 20 universities in Malaysia, Germany, Taiwan, etc. In cooperation with New Era University of Malaysia, the first "Luban Workshop" in Northeast China and Malaysia was built, with Liaoning Construction Vocational College and New Era University of Malaysia as the main body and Chinese-funded enterprises in Malaysia as the support. It was selected into the fourth batch of China-ASEAN characteristic cooperation projects and entered the flagship plan of China-ASEAN Double Hundred Vocational Schools Strong Cooperation, creating a new highland for the development of vocational education.
