Liaoning Petrochemical Vocational and Technical College is a provincial public full-time higher vocational college, one of the first batch of excellent backbone higher vocational colleges in the country, a provincial high-level modern higher vocational college, and a provincial "Xingliao Excellence" higher vocational college construction unit. It was selected as a demonstration vocational education group cultivation unit of the Ministry of Education and has established the "Sino-Thai Petrochemical International College". The college is located in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, with two campuses, Binhai and Guta, covering an area of 485 acres and a school building area of 176,000 square meters. The college has built a national demonstration training base for education and training in the petroleum and chemical industry. There are 145 on-campus training rooms and 48 off-campus training bases. It is a national demonstration virtual simulation training base, a provincial demonstration virtual simulation training base, a provincial production-education integration training base, and a Luban Workshop production-university-research base in Jinchi Industrial Park, Thailand. There are 13 internal institutions. There are 33 higher vocational majors, the petrochemical technology major is a national modern apprenticeship pilot major, and the petrochemical technology professional group, chemical equipment technology professional group, analytical inspection technology professional group, and industrial process automation technology professional group are A-level provincial "Xingliao Excellence" project construction professional groups. The college has 6,478 full-time students, including 5,301 ordinary three-year students, 852 five-year students, and 325 expanded students. The employment rate of graduates has remained stable at more than 98% for many consecutive years. In 2022, the college was awarded the "Provincial Advanced Unit for Graduate Employment of Ordinary Colleges and Universities". There are 298 faculty and staff, including 264 professional and technical personnel, 250 full-time teachers, and 155 people with associate senior titles or above, accounting for 58.7%. One national-level vocational education teacher teaching innovation team and four national petroleum and chemical education excellent teaching teams have been created; one national excellent teacher, seven provincial vocational education teaching masters, four Liaoning provincial excellent teachers, eight professional leaders, and three excellent teachers who have won Wanhua Chemical Teaching Award; two advanced collectives in the Liaoning Provincial Education System, one Liaoning Provincial "Education Family", one Liaoning Provincial Vocational Education Teachers' Skills and Skills Inheritance and Innovation Platform, five Liaoning Provincial Master Studios, one Liaoning Provincial Scientific Research Innovation Team, and 29 Liaoning Provincial "Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands" and "Ten Thousands" level talents. A scientific research platform with six technology innovation centers, two pilot bases, one provincial maker space, and one petrochemical research institute as the main body has been formed. "New Synthesis Process of Diarylethane" was selected into the list of the first top ten scientific and technological progress nomination projects of Liaoning Provincial Colleges and Universities. The Party Committee of Liaoning Petrochemical Vocational and Technical College has established the development goal of creating a leading vocational college in the province and a first-class vocational college in the country. It will adhere to the school-running philosophy of "building the school on quality, developing the school on talents, and strengthening the school on characteristics" and contribute to the three-year action plan for new breakthroughs in the comprehensive revitalization of Liaoning.
