West Min Vocational and Technical College is the only public vocational college in Longyan organized by the Longyan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. The school was formerly known as West Fujian Vocational University, which was historically referred to as "Min University". In 2004, Longyan Industrial School was merged into West Min Vocational University and changed its name to West Min Vocational and Technical College.
