Nanyang Institute of Technology is a full-time public undergraduate university located in Nanyang, Henan Province, a famous historical and cultural city. The predecessor of the school was Nanyang University, which was approved by the Henan Provincial People's Government in May 1987; in January 1993, the State Education Commission approved the establishment of Nanyang Institute of Technology, and the former Zhang Zhongjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was incorporated; in May 2004, the Ministry of Education approved the upgrading of the school to an undergraduate college, and implemented a system of co-construction by the province and the city, with the city as the main body.
