Ningde Normal University is a full-time general undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education. The school's history can be traced back to the Fu'an Normal College established in 1958 (closed in 1962). In December 1978, with the approval of the State Council, the Ministry of Education issued a document approving the establishment of Ningde Normal College. In August 1990, Mindong Vocational University was merged into Ningde Normal College. In March 1994, it was renamed Ningde Normal College. In March 2010, the Ministry of Education approved Ningde Normal University to be a full-time general undergraduate university. School conditions The school covers an area of 1,215.38 acres and has two campuses in Dongqiao and Jiaocheng. The school building area is about 356,500 square meters.
