North Sichuan Medical College is located in Nanchong City, Sichuan Province. It has two campuses, Shunqing and Gaoping, covering an area of more than 1,000 acres. The school's predecessor was the Southwest District Sichuan North Medical School founded in 1951. It was upgraded to a junior college in 1965 and an undergraduate in 1985, and was named North Sichuan Medical College. It began to recruit international students in 2005, and obtained the right to confer master's degrees in 2006.
