Shandong University of Finance and Economics Oriental College is a full-time undergraduate college jointly organized by Shandong University of Finance and Economics and Shandong Gold Group Co., Ltd. in 2005 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The school is a member of the National Alliance of Applied Technology Universities (Colleges), a pilot university of the Ministry of Education's "Data China Industry-Education Integration Promotion Plan", a member of the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Alliance, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants China Association (USCPA China Society), and an applied undergraduate construction college in Shandong Province. School Goal The school takes moral education as its fundamental task, adheres to the school-running philosophy of "teaching as the center, students as the main body, service as the foundation, and quality as life", takes "virtue and ambition, erudition and practice" as the school motto, implements the development strategy of "taking root in the local area, serving the industry, and opening up and integration", and strives to cultivate high-quality applied talents with comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor, and strives to build a high-level applied university with distinctive regional characteristics to serve national strategies and regional economic and social development. The school is located in Tai'an, a national historical and cultural city, with Jinan to the north and Qufu to the south. It is a place where "mountains (Mount Tai), water (Quancheng), and saints (the hometown of Confucius)" gather, and has a rich cultural heritage. The campus environment is beautiful and pleasant, covering an area of more than 530 acres, with about 8,500 students. The school has modern teaching infrastructure and laboratories. The newly built experimental training center covers an area of nearly 7,800 square meters. It has a number of production-education integration laboratories and Shandong Province's new liberal arts laboratory, including enterprise comprehensive simulation training room, accounting cloud real account training room, digital animation design room, financial management training room, business simulation training room, etc., and has built two Shandong Province general colleges and universities experimental teaching demonstration centers such as digital economy and digital media art; and one Shandong Province general colleges and universities demonstration internship (training) base such as smart finance. Professional Construction The school connects with the major industrial development strategies of the country, provinces and cities and the construction of "new liberal arts and new engineering", and has 7 secondary colleges and 5 characteristic colleges of industry-education integration. There are 28 undergraduate majors such as accounting, finance, financial technology, data science and big data technology, and 5 junior college majors such as big data and accounting, forming a discipline and professional construction pattern with management and economics as the leader, and coordinated development of engineering, literature, art, science, and law. Faculty Team The school relies on the strong faculty of the parent school to form a high-level faculty team composed of part-time teachers from Shandong University of Finance and Economics, self-owned teachers, and industry experts as supplements.
