The eloquent, wise, and brave image of military diplomats has attracted many people and has become the dream of many people. The PLA International Relations Institute, located on the bank of the Yangtze River, is the "cradle of Chinese military diplomats". A considerable number of graduates from the school have become experts, professors and specialists on the military diplomatic front of our army. The PLA International Relations Institute is one of the key universities in the country and is affiliated to the General Staff Headquarters. It is a comprehensive military diplomacy institute that integrates command and technology, is based on foreign languages, and is multi-disciplinary, multi-level and multi-standard. It is an important base for the military to cultivate various professional talents in international relations, national defense and foreign affairs, military diplomacy, international strategic research, foreign language teachers, troop reconnaissance, technical reconnaissance, aerospace reconnaissance, special operations command, etc. The college mainly provides undergraduate education, with 23 majors and 9 foreign language courses. In addition to undergraduates, it also recruits master's students in 8 majors, including international relations, foreign linguistics and applied linguistics, English language and literature, Russian language and literature, Japanese language and literature, Asian and African languages and literature, and military thought, from all over the country and the whole army. Some majors also recruit doctoral students. Main majors: 1. International relations 2. Diplomacy 3. Foreign languages and literature 4. Reconnaissance and special forces command. In June 1951, in the smoke of gunfire during the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, the college broke through the ground like a seed with extremely strong vitality and grew rapidly. In 1986, it was officially named "Chinese People's Liberation Army International Relations College". In the course of more than half a century of development, the college has gone through wind and rain, tempered itself, and gradually grown stronger. In April 1963, with the approval of Premier Zhou Enlai, the college was listed as a national key college by the Ministry of Education. The college lived up to expectations and continuously improved the level of education and expanded the scale of education. In July 1998, President Jiang Zemin fully affirmed the talent training work of the college. Today, the college has become one of the key construction colleges of the "211 Project" of the whole army, with 1 national key construction discipline, 1 national non-common language undergraduate talent training base, 3 key construction disciplines of the military "211 Project", 2 doctoral degree authorization points, 8 master's degree authorization points, and 5 bachelor's degree authorization points. The education model is quite distinctive. For military students, the quality requirements are special, because the qualified talents required by the army are graduates with strong military and political qualities and cultural qualities. "Both moral and talented, politics first" is the most fundamental concept of the PLA International Relations College in teaching and educating people and cultivating qualified talents. In the four-year undergraduate education, the college has set different educational focuses and arranged different educational contents according to different grades. When students first entered the school, the college actively carried out military education, and organized students to visit revolutionary memorial sites such as the Nanjing Massacre Memorial Hall and the Yuhuatai Martyrs Cemetery to receive education on patriotism and revolutionary traditions; in the second year, in order to improve the students' work practice ability, the college organized students to serve as soldiers in the company during the summer vacation to cultivate the spirit of hard work, vigorous and resolute, and hard work; in the third year, students participated in military and political teaching social practice, went to the old revolutionary base areas of Jiangsu and Anhui to eat, live and work with the people, and absorb the "essence" from the living "textbook" of society; the fourth year students faced graduation assignments, and the college carried out graduation assignment education with the theme of "obeying the overall situation and consciously dedicating", encouraging the majority of students to go to work and create their own brilliant careers. The development of these activities has strengthened the students' beliefs, tempered the students' will, and improved the students' quality. This education model has also been succinctly summarized as the "full-process education model". The power of role models is endless For the students of the PLA International Relations College, there has always been an invisible force that inspires them to keep striving for progress, that is, the power of role models. In the history of the college, there have been batches of outstanding talents who have become the spiritual driving force that motivates them to keep making progress. The students of the school have repeatedly achieved excellent results in the national large-scale competitions and tests such as the National College English Level 4 and Level 8 Unified Test, the National College English Oral Competition, the Global Chinese Youth Literary Creation Competition, and the Han Suyin National Youth Translation Award Competition, and have ranked among the top. In the 50 years since the establishment of the college, the school has trained more than 20,000 students in more than 100 countries and regions in the world. A large number of advanced groups and individuals have emerged, represented by the "Heroic Military Attaché Group" in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Liu Guang, a "model cadre" who is determined to devote himself to the border defense, Fu Wei, "Jiao Yulu in the Army", Feng Min, a "new generation of college student model", and He Yuming, one of the "Top Ten Outstanding Youths in China". They are an intangible spiritual wealth of the school, a role model for many students to learn, and the source of the college's everlasting vigor. The college currently has 24 majors, offers 10 foreign language courses in English, Russian, Japanese, French, German, Vietnamese, Burmese, Thai, Lao and Hindi, and recruits undergraduates from all over the country.
