Qianjiang College of Hangzhou Normal University was established in August 1999. It is a comprehensive full-time undergraduate independent college approved by the Ministry of Education of China and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province and organized by Hangzhou Normal University. The college is located in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province. Hangzhou is the political, economic, cultural, educational, transportation and financial center of Zhejiang Province, one of the central cities of the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, a node city of the Yangtze River Delta Ninghang Ecological Economic Belt, and one of China's important e-commerce centers. Hangzhou is also one of the seven ancient capitals of China and has been known as a "paradise on earth" since ancient times. The campus is located in Xiasha Higher Education Park, Jianggan District, Hangzhou, adjacent to the Qiantang River. The campus covers an area of 906.46 acres and the school building area is more than 180,000 square meters. The library has a construction area of 35,000 square meters and a total collection of more than 900,000 books. The campus environment is elegant, the basic facilities are advanced, and the conditions for running a school are complete. At the same time, it shares nearly 200 teachers with Hangzhou Normal University. At the same time, in cooperation with enterprises, it has successively established research institutions such as the "Water Governance Ecological Engineering Research Institute", "Hangzhou Digital Medicine Research Institute", "Hangzhou Arts and Crafts Research Institute", and "Huiyou IT Service Research Institute". In the college, it has established research and development centers for production, learning and research cooperation such as the "Meiya Product R&D Innovation Base". It undertakes a number of national, provincial (ministerial) and municipal scientific research projects. The college adheres to teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, takes teaching quality as the lifeline, and cultivates applied talents with "thick foundation and strong ability". The college implements a credit system, pays attention to the individual development of students, and has established a 1.5+1.5+1 talent training model (that is, the first year and a half of studying university general education courses and subject-based basic courses, the second year and a half of studying professional basic courses, professional compulsory courses, professional elective courses, and the last year is a comprehensive practical teaching year).
