Qilu Institute of Technology is a general undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Formerly known as Xingtan College of Qufu Normal University, it successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education with excellent results in 2017, and was rated as excellent in the classification assessment of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education for five consecutive years. [School Conditions] The school has two campuses in Jinan and Qufu. The Jinan campus is located in the eastern university town of Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, and the Qufu campus is located in Qufu, the hometown of Confucius. The campus covers a total area of more than 1,500 acres and a construction area of more than 400,000 square meters. There are 18 experimental teaching centers, and the library currently has 2.21 million paper books, 1.55 million electronic books, and 26 databases. With an investment of 100 million yuan to build a smart campus platform, it is the first private undergraduate college in Shandong Province to fully support the next generation of Internet services. It has been awarded the Shandong Provincial Advanced Network Security Unit for two consecutive years, and its smart campus construction has been rated as an excellent case of educational informatization application in Shandong Province. Two Huang Danian-style teacher teams and seven provincial-level science and technology innovation teams have been approved. [Scientific Research] Actively connect with major development strategies of the country and Shandong Province, continuously optimize the layout of disciplines and majors, and form a goose-shaped discipline development layout with science and engineering as its advantage. There are 7 provincial-level innovation platforms and 4 provincial-level education research bases. In 2019, the school successfully held the "Artificial Intelligence and Memristor Computing Application Industry Development Summit Forum and the First National Memristor Computing Application Academic Seminar", and more than 500 professors and experts from universities and industries inside and outside the province participated in the forum. In 2023, it successively hosted the Industrial Big Data and Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Forum and hosted the first International Conference on Memristor Computing and Applications (IEEE ICMCA 2023). In the past three years, the average implementation rate of undergraduate majors is 97.51%.
