Qingdao Preschool Education College is a full-time general college at the junior college level approved by the Shandong Provincial Government on March 22, 2020. The school implements provincial and municipal management, with Qingdao as the main management system. On October 31, 2021, the Municipal Party Committee approved the establishment of the Communist Party of China Qingdao Preschool Education College Committee. The school currently has 5 members of the leadership team, and has set up the Party and Government Office (International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Letters and Visits Office), the Office of the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, the Propaganda Department, the Organization and Personnel Department (Teacher Work Department), the Trade Union, the Academic Affairs Office (Admissions Office), the Scientific Research Office, the Student Affairs Department (Psychological Health Center), the Youth League Committee, the Employment Office (School-Enterprise Cooperation Office), the Finance Department, the Infrastructure Department, the Logistics Department, the Security Department and other offices, the Preschool Education College, the Business College, the Jewelry College, the Information College, the Art and Media College (Preparatory) and other secondary colleges, the Cultural Tourism Department, the Physical Education Department and other teaching departments, the Basic Teaching Department, the School of Marxism, the Continuing Education Department and other teaching institutions, and the Library and Information Network Center and other teaching auxiliary institutions. The school has a total of 25 majors. In 2020, the school will enroll students in five education majors, including preschool education, music education, art education, physical education, and early education. In 2021, it will add seven new majors, including jewelry design and crafts, international business, and study tour management and services. In 2022, it will add special education majors. In 2023, it will add 12 new majors, including infant care services and management, cross-border e-commerce, modern logistics management, software technology, big data technology, gem identification and processing, and leisure sports. The school will have more than 5,000 students in September this year. The school has 232 faculty and staff on the job, including 161 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, 87% have a master's degree or above, and 34.8% have associate senior titles or above. The school currently has 5 municipal-level teaching masters, 2 municipal-level high-level talents; 7 provincial-level masters (including outstanding counselors, ideological and political teachers, and young skill masters); 1 industry technical expert, 3 provincial-level technical experts; 5 members of the provincial and above industry expert (professional, teaching) committee. The school has a planned total construction area of 430,000 square meters, which will be completed in three phases. The first phase of the project in use is 100,000 square meters, supporting a school scale of 3,000 people. After the completion of the second phase of the student dormitory complex, the school scale can be increased by 3,000 people. The main structure construction has been completed and will be delivered in September 2023. The third phase is scheduled to start in October 2023. After completion, the school can meet the school scale of 12,000 people. The school takes "moral education, moral and technical training, and two generations of teachers" as its school philosophy, "industry-education integration, school-enterprise cooperation, serving the regional social economy and national strategic development" as its school characteristics, and practices the school motto of "morality, erudition, truth-seeking, and agility", with preschool education, jewelry design and technology and other advantageous majors (groups) as the leader, with teacher education as its feature, and "cultivating comprehensive and compound talents with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor" as its goal. The school has won the titles of Advanced Unit of Shandong Provincial Government New Media Alliance, Outstanding Organization Award of Shandong Provincial College Students Campus Art Festival, Qingdao "Intangible Cultural Heritage Characteristic Community", Qingdao Civilized Campus, and Municipal Teacher Education Base.
