The predecessor of Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University is the Fujian Motorcycle Training School founded in 1986. It takes vocational training as the starting point and takes "enterprise-supported school, front-factory and back-school, and integration of work and study" as its distinctive features. The Fujian Motorcycle Training School was opened in 1997 In 2002, the technical secondary school was upgraded to Quanzhou Zhongying Vocational College. In the same year, higher vocational enrollment began. In 2007, it was renamed Quanzhou Polytechnic Vocational College. In 2018, it was upgraded to undergraduate. In 2019, it was renamed Quanzhou Vocational and Technical University. It is the first batch of undergraduate-level vocational colleges in the country and the only undergraduate-level vocational college in Fujian Province. The education pilot university will be approved as a bachelor's degree-granting unit in 2022. The school firmly positions itself as a vocational education type, adheres to the original intention of running a non-profit school, adheres to "rooting in Jinjiang, serving Quanzhou, and facing Fujian", and takes "loyalty, diligence, innovation, and dedication" as its school motto. With the goal of "industrial partner university" and "cradle of entrepreneurs", we cultivate "healthy and long-lived students with beautiful souls, strong employment and entrepreneurial abilities, and great contributions to society" with "one broad and three strong" (broad theoretical foundation, strong practical ability, High-level technical and technical talents with the characteristics of "strong innovation and entrepreneurship ability, strong lifelong learning ability", a total of nearly 30,000 full-time graduates have been trained for regional industries, and more than 100,000 technical and technical talents have been trained. 20 vocational undergraduate majors, 13 junior college majors, 12,450 students on campus, the school currently has 1,089 acres of land and a building area of 614,000. It focuses on petrochemical industry, intelligent manufacturing, new generation information technology, new energy vehicles, green buildings, business, education and sports, and art design. It has 8 professional groups, including 20 undergraduate majors and 13 junior college majors. There are 12,450 students on campus, 87% of whom are undergraduates, and more than 25,000 people receive social training annually. It currently has three campuses in Quanzhou, Jinjing and Jinjiang, covering an area of 1,089 acres, with a building area of 614,000 square meters, teaching and scientific research equipment worth 149.46 million yuan, 1.257 million books (including electronic books), and 696 faculty and staff (including Part-time equivalent), there are 1 person in the National Hundred Thousand Talents Project, 3 people enjoying special allowances from the State Council, 1 provincial famous principal of vocational education, 3 provincial professional leaders, 1 provincial outstanding educator, and the most beautiful tutor at the provincial level 1 member, 1 provincial May 1st Labor Medal, 2 ABC talents in Fujian Province, and 241 high-level talents in Quanzhou and Jinjiang City.
