Ruzhou Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public higher vocational college approved by the provincial government and registered by the Ministry of Education in 2020, with the qualification of enrolling students for general higher education. The school is located in the Science and Education Park of Ruzhou City, Henan Province, which is known as the "Capital of Ru Porcelain and Hometown of Quju". The Science and Education Park is a modern education new city built by the Ruzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, with a total investment of about 3 billion yuan. The total planned area of the park is 9,000 acres, mainly divided into four functional areas: general education area, vocational education area, scientific research and training area and public service area. Ruzhou Vocational and Technical College is a high-starting college with a total area of more than 1,000 acres and a construction area of more than 200,000 square meters. It is backed by Shamao Mountain and adjacent to Ma Miao Lake in the west. The scenery is beautiful and pleasant, and the campus greening rate is 40.5%. The college is located in a place known as a "natural ecological oxygen bar" and is an ideal place for students to aspire to become talents and learn to achieve their goals. The college currently has 26 main buildings with scientific layout, including first-class teaching buildings, training buildings, cultural and sports centers, student apartments and student restaurants. The college has "two bases and two centers" worth more than 100 million yuan: a comprehensive training base, a software base, an entrepreneurship center, and an academic exchange center. The college takes it as its mission to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents to serve the local economic and social development. All majors are connected to local leading industries, pillar industries and strategic emerging industries. There are currently 22 majors, including ceramic design and technology, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine, e-commerce, and automobile inspection and maintenance technology. It focuses on building three characteristic professional groups of ceramics and art, information engineering technology, and automobile equipment manufacturing, and one backbone major of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine. The college aims to build a high-level characteristic higher vocational college, adheres to the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people, and implements the talent training model of integrating production and education, school-enterprise cooperation, combining work and study, and integrating knowledge and action. It has successively won the titles of Ruzhou Civilized Campus and Advanced Grassroots Party Organization , Advanced Collective of the Education System, March 8th Red Flag Collective of Pingdingshan City, etc. It is the social practice base of quality education in Ruzhou City, the publicity and education base of intellectual property rights in Ruzhou City, and the skill training base of industrial workers in Ruzhou City. More than 60 projects have been approved for provincial, ministerial and municipal scientific research projects, and have won awards in provincial and municipal skill competitions many times.
