Sanmenxia Social Management Vocational College is a public full-time general higher vocational college approved by the provincial government in March 2017. It is a higher vocational college specializing in cultivating talents in social management, urban services, and intelligent manufacturing. The college is located in the Sanmenxia Vocational Education Park, backed by the Nine-bend Yellow River, close to the Zhengxi High-speed Railway, with beautiful surrounding environment and convenient public transportation. The college covers an area of 627 acres and a building area of 234,300 square meters. There are 498 faculty and staff, 12 offices (offices), 13 secondary colleges, 56 higher vocational majors (with directions), and students come from 12 provinces across the country. There are more than 18,000 students on campus, forming a school-running pattern integrating academic education, social training, and industry-university-research. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the school thoroughly implements the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, adheres to the moral education of the people, firmly establishes the concept of "teacher-student-centered" school-running, and takes 5 "ones" as the starting point, namely: firm a goal - to build a "double-high vocational college"; establish a concept - to establish a development concept centered on teachers and students; forge a team - to forge a team of dual-qualified teachers with both moral integrity and skills, a strong and powerful cadre team, and a high-quality and efficient logistics support team; create a good atmosphere for educating people - to grasp the teaching style, promote the learning style, and strengthen the school spirit, and strive to create a clean and positive educational environment; build a strong battle fortress - continue to strengthen grassroots infrastructure construction and build a battle fortress for party building. Seven key projects are used to comprehensively promote education and teaching reforms, and high-quality party building is used to promote the high-quality development of schools, so as to cultivate high-quality skilled talents for Sanmenxia to achieve the transformation from a resource-based city to an innovative city and high-quality modernization of Sanmenxia. The school adheres to the school motto of "Mingde Zhishan, Craftsmanship for the World", implements the five-pronged education, cultivates college students with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor, strengthens the construction of the political work team, strictly manages and loves students' growth and development, attaches importance to skill teaching and internship training, and insists on promoting teaching, learning and innovation through competition. In the past five years, more than 300 teachers and students of the school have won awards in various professional skill competitions at all levels. Among them, there is 1 national second prize, 29 provincial first prizes, 63 second prizes, and 74 third prizes. The teachers and students of the college have successfully entered the three major national innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, including the China International Internet + College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's National Mobile Internet Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the Ministry of Science and Technology's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The total number of dual innovation projects ranks 16th in the province, and won 1 second prize in the national competition, 2 provincial first prizes, 4 second prizes, and 7 third prizes. It was awarded the "Outstanding Contribution Award" by the Organizing Committee of the National Mobile Internet Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In the "New Era. New Dream" 3rd Henan University Student Innovation and Practice Competition hosted by the Henan Provincial Department of Education, Broadcom's agricultural planting and industrialization development project was shortlisted for the on-site finals, competing with the dual innovation teams of universities across the province, and ranked ninth in the province and second in vocational colleges, winning the first prize in the provincial competition. In the finals of the 2021 Mobile Internet Innovation Competition College Group, 111 projects entered the national finals, and 2 projects (Zhongshiji University Student 5G Digital Cloud Entrepreneurship Life Service Platform, Dangerous Goods Transport Vehicle Monitoring and Early Warning System) won the second prize. The college adheres to open education and deeply promotes school-enterprise co-construction and integration of production and education. At present, we cooperate with more than ten strong and reputable enterprises in and outside the province to carry out professional co-construction. Enterprises are deeply involved in enrollment, talent training program formulation, core course teaching, training room construction, "double-teacher" teacher team construction and other work, and have explored and formed a "six-double" education model, namely double subjects (school + enterprise), double mentors (teachers + supervisors), double identities (students + employees), double classrooms (on-campus classrooms + job practice), double management (school counselors + corporate class teachers), and double certificates (academic certificates + professional skills certificates).
