Beihang University (hereinafter referred to as BUAA) is one of the earliest universities in my country to carry out research and application of software technology and software engineering. In the fourth round of national discipline evaluation, BUAA's software engineering discipline was rated as an A+ discipline and was selected for the national "first-class discipline" construction list twice in a row. As one of the first batch of national demonstration software colleges, BUAA Software College has always been an important support force for BUAA's software engineering discipline since its establishment in 2002. The college was selected as the first batch of national first-class undergraduate major construction sites for software engineering in 2019, and was selected as the first batch of characteristic demonstration software colleges in 2021. In 2021, the college was selected as one of the first batch of national characteristic demonstration software colleges, opening up the 2.0 model of high-quality software talent training. The college arranges scientific research directions around national strategies and academic frontiers in key software fields. Relying on the national and provincial scientific research platforms of the State Key Laboratory of Software Development Environment, the State Key Laboratory of Virtual Reality Technology and System, and the Key Discipline Laboratory of Trusted Network Computing Technology, as well as the cooperation platforms of the Qingdao Research Institute and Hangzhou Research Institute of Beihang University, the school has formed advantageous directions such as key basic software for human-machine-object fusion environment, advanced industrial software methods and environment, safety-critical system software and engineering, artificial intelligence and intelligent software engineering, etc., breaking through basic theories and core technologies, building major systems and platforms, undertaking major national scientific research tasks, supporting the safety verification of a series of independently developed operating systems, completing the software test and identification of a series of major models, and contributing to the historical leap from large to strong in my country's software industry. In recent years, the college has established joint laboratories or joint software technology research bases with China Electronics Technology Group, China Aviation Industry Corporation, China Aerospace Science and Technology Group, Manned Space Engineering Software Engineering Center, Huawei, Kylin Software, Digital Dafang, etc., to promote the training of engineering masters and engineering doctors in key software fields, and promote the training of outstanding engineers in key software fields through the school-enterprise joint dual tutor system, school-enterprise collaborative courses and practice mechanisms, and demand-oriented personalized training processes.
