Shandong Huayu Institute of Technology is funded by Dezhou Asia Pacific Group Co., Ltd. It was formerly Dezhou Huayu School founded in 2002. In 2004, the school was rebuilt into Shandong Huayu Vocational and Technical College at the junior college level. In 2014, it was upgraded to a full-time general undergraduate college.
