Shandong Institute of Arts and Crafts is located in Jinan City, Shandong Province. It was founded in 1973. It has two campuses in Qianfoshan and Changqing, as well as the Qingdao and Zibo bases for the integration of industry and education. It is the only design university among the independent public art colleges in China. It has now formed a multi-level school-running pattern of graduate education, undergraduate education, higher vocational education, continuing education, community art education and secondary art education. It has 14 teaching units including the School of Visual Communication Design, the School of Architecture and Landscape Design, the School of Industrial Design, the School of Fashion, the School of Plastic Arts, the School of Modern Handicraft Art, the School of Digital Art and Media, the School of Humanities and Arts, the School of Applied Design, the School of Continuing Education, the Department of Public Courses, the School of Marxism, the Art and Design Practice Teaching Center, the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the affiliated secondary art school (a second-class public welfare institution at the department level of the school). Together with Qingdao City, we will build the National Industry-Education Integration Qingdao Base and establish the "Shandong Handmade" (Qingdao) International Exhibition and Experience Center. Serve the construction of the Grand Canal Cultural Experience Corridor and the Jiaoji Line Cultural Experience Line, forming a dual-core development of Shandong Handmade. The school implements an open school strategy. Establish extensive educational cooperation and international academic exchange relations with more than 50 universities (institutions) in more than 40 countries and regions, and expand a series of overseas educational cooperation projects based on rich international cooperation resources. The school joined the International Association of Schools of Design and Art (CUMULUS) in 2005 and the International Council of Design (Ico-D) in 2008, and held alliance meetings and educational exchange activities as a member.For example, the International Design Research Society (DRS), the International Public Art Association (IAPA), and the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) have maintained good interactive relations.
