Shandong Urban Service Vocational College is a full-time public provincial higher vocational school approved by the Shandong Provincial People's Government. It was founded in 1965 and is affiliated to Shandong Commercial Group Co., Ltd. The school is located in Yantai High-tech Industrial Development Zone, with a planned area of 751 acres and a construction area of 230,000 square meters. It has 136 modern professional experiments and training rooms such as cooking, Western food, CNC machining, automobile maintenance, and early childhood education. The total value of various teaching and training equipment is 170 million yuan, which can meet the needs of teaching, training, vocational skills appraisal and product development, and provide good conditions for the cultivation of high-skilled talents. At present, there are more than 16,000 students in the school system education, and more than 7,000 people are trained and appraised for the society each year. The school has built a Shandong Provincial Academician Workstation for Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, and was selected as one of the first batch of "Shandong Province Technical Education Characteristic Schools" and "National High-skilled Talent Training Base" project construction units. The school has a high-quality "integrated" teaching team with 592 full-time teachers. In recent years, the school has independently trained 1 winner of the National May 1st Labor Medal, 1 expert with special allowance from the State Council, 12 national technical experts, 3 chief technicians in Shandong Province, 3 chief technicians in Qilu, 3 technicians with outstanding contributions in Shandong Province, 3 chief technicians in the provincial catering and accommodation industry, 1 winner of the May 1st Labor Medal in Shandong Province, and 53 technical experts in Shandong Province. At the same time, 2 foreign academicians, 6 experts with special allowance from the State Council, 4 scholars in the National Ten Thousand Talents Program, 13 Taishan series talents, and 17 national technical experts were flexibly introduced.
