Shandong Vocational College of Cultural Industries is a full-time general higher vocational college approved by the Shandong Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education in 2009. It is invested and held by Dazhong Daily Group. It is the first comprehensive higher vocational college in Shandong Province that specializes in cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents for the development of cultural industries. The school's address is No. 1 College Road, Laixi City. In order to actively respond to the call for the transformation of new and old kinetic energy in Shandong Province and better meet the needs of the rapid development of the school, in 2018, with the approval of the superior competent department, Shandong Vocational College of Cultural Industries moved from Yantai Penglai to Qingdao Laixi, and was located in the core area of Laixi High-speed Railway New City. The new campus was planned and designed by Tongji University. The total planned land area of the school relocation and new construction project is 4,260 acres, with a total investment of 5.6 billion yuan. The 2022 relocation and new construction project was included in the list of major implementation projects in Shandong Province, with a total construction area of 1.2 million square meters. As of September 2023, the school has built more than 300,000 square meters, and more than 200,000 square meters of modern teaching buildings and supporting internships, training and living facilities are under construction, achieving a guarantee scale of 20,000 teachers and students. At present, the school has more than 800 faculty members, and 38% of full-time teachers have master's degrees or above.
