Shandong Labor Vocational and Technical College (Shandong Labor Technician College) is a full-time general college directly under the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security. It was founded in 1955. The college is a national advanced unit of vocational education, a national demonstration base for the cultivation of high-skilled talents, a national continuing education base for professional and technical personnel, a national skill foundation engineering training base, a famous school of higher education and skill-oriented characteristics in Shandong Province, a high-quality higher vocational college in Shandong Province, a winner of the "National Outstanding Contribution Award for the Cultivation of Skilled Talents", and a construction and operation unit of the Shandong Provincial Public Training Base. The college is located in Jinan, the Spring City, and currently has two campuses in Huaiyin and Changqing, covering an area of 1,050 acres and a building area of 497,000 square meters. There are more than 13,400 students in higher vocational colleges and more than 3,200 students in the secondary vocational stage (including technicians and the first three years of the five-year system). The on-campus internship and training site covers an area of 121,365 square meters and has 218 training rooms. There are 8 training centers including intelligent manufacturing, intelligent control, welding, new energy vehicles, commodity display, new media live broadcast, smart logistics, furniture woodworking, etc., which can meet the skills training in the fields of intelligent manufacturing production line, installation and commissioning of industrial robots, new energy vehicles, information technology, digital commerce, smart logistics, etc., with an annual training scale of more than 35,600 people. The college actively serves and integrates into the national strategy, and runs majors around the industry. There are 10 teaching departments including the Department of Intelligent Manufacturing, Department of Electrical and Automation, Department of Automotive Engineering, Department of Information Engineering, Department of Modern City, Department of Business Administration, Department of Labor Economics, Basic (Physical Education) Teaching Department, Ideological and Political Course Teaching Department, and Technician Department. It has formed a professional layout of "taking intelligent manufacturing as the main body and electronic information and modern service majors as the two wings", focusing on the construction of 7 professional groups including intelligent manufacturing, information technology, automation, automobile maintenance, modern commerce and trade circulation, urban art design and smart finance, and 43 higher vocational enrollment majors are open to the whole country. It is the first higher vocational college in the country to implement the "dual certificate" system. College graduates can obtain "college diploma and senior professional qualification certificate" at the same time after passing the examination. The "Excellent Technician" training program was launched to form the high-end technical and skilled talent training standards and experience of "junior college degree + technician qualification". The college implements the talent-strengthening school strategy and has a strong faculty. There are 38 professors and 166 associate professors, and "dual-qualified" teachers account for 81.17%. There are 2 experts enjoying special allowances from the State Council, 1 national "May 1st Labor Medal", 1 famous teacher training target for vocational schools in the new era of the Ministry of Education, 1 Qilu craftsman, 1 Taishan leading talent, 11 national technical experts, 1 Shandong Provincial Technical Skills Master, 1 Qilu Chief Technician, 5 Shandong Provincial Chief Technicians, 4 Shandong Provincial Teaching Masters, and 72 Shandong Provincial Technical Experts. There are 3 Huang Danian-style teacher teams in Shandong universities, 3 Shandong Provincial Vocational Education Teaching Innovation Teams, and 1 Shandong Provincial "Youth Entrepreneurship Science and Technology Plan" Innovation Team. One national-level skill master studio, 3 Shandong Provincial Vocational Education Master Studios, and 4 Shandong Provincial Vocational Education Skills and Skills Inheritance and Innovation Platforms have been approved. Selected as the third batch of national vocational education teacher innovation team project construction units. The college focuses on improving the quality of talent training and has rich teaching resources. Participated in 4 national professional teaching resource library projects, hosted or participated in 8 provincial teaching resource library projects, and won 4 national online boutique courses, 17 provincial boutique resource sharing courses, 10 provincial online boutique courses, and 3 provincial curriculum ideological and political demonstration courses. There are 3 backbone majors in the National Innovation Action Development Plan, 1 productive training base, 3 high-level professional groups in Shandong Province, 2 brand professional groups in Shandong Province, 7 characteristic majors in Shandong Province, and led or participated in the development of 7 provincial professional teaching guidance programs and 3 "14th Five-Year Plan" national planning textbooks for vocational education. Selected as the Chinese training base for the 44th, 45th, 46th and 47th World Skills Competitions, and approved as the Shandong Skills Competition Research Center. In the past three years, teachers and students have participated in various skill competitions at all levels and achieved outstanding results, winning 38 first prizes and 27 second prizes in national competitions, 150 first prizes and 78 second prizes in provincial competitions. Teachers won 2 first prizes and 1 third prize in the teaching ability competition of the National Vocational College Skills Competition. The college has carried out in-depth school-enterprise cooperation to enhance the connotation of industry-education integration. It was rated as a model school for school-enterprise integration in Shandong Province. It took the lead in establishing the national high-end CNC equipment and human resources service industry industry-education integration community, and took the lead in establishing the national demonstration vocational education group-Shandong Machinery Industry Vocational Education Training Group. Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, it has been approved as 19 innovation platforms at or above the municipal level, including the Shandong Engineering Research Center, the Shandong Higher Education Institutions Science and Technology Achievement Transformation and Technology Transfer Base, and the Shandong Higher Education Institutions Applied Technology Quality Collaborative Innovation Center. The college has established 70 provincial teaching and scientific research projects, won 84 provincial teaching and scientific research achievement awards, obtained 94 invention patents, served more than 130 enterprises, and carried out 64 horizontal service projects. The only provincial science popularization base with the theme of "Labor Education and Vocational Experience" was established in the province. It is the first batch of vocational skills assessment and appraisal institutions in the province, and has established the Shandong Province Veterans Entrepreneurship and Employment Guidance Station.
