Shandong Youth University of Political Science is a full-time general undergraduate college. Its predecessor was the Shandong Youth League School founded in 1949, which trained youth league cadres for the Party and the country. In 1987, the Shandong Youth Management Cadre College was established with the approval of the former State Education Commission and the Shandong Provincial People's Government. In 2010, the Shandong Youth University of Political Science was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
