Shanghai Kechuang Vocational and Technical College is located in Songjiang District, the source of G60 science and technology innovation in the Yangtze River Delta, adjacent to the Songjiang University Town Education Park. It is the first new full-time public higher vocational college in Shanghai's "Five New Cities" approved by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, filed with the Ministry of Education, and held by the Songjiang District People's Government. The school is a new type of higher vocational college newly built by integrating high-quality educational resources in the region. It has a beautiful environment, advanced facilities, convenient transportation, and innovative models. It implements a three-year academic education for high school graduates and a five-year academic education for junior high school graduates, and cultivates high-quality technical and skilled talents in advanced manufacturing, productive services, and urban services. With the mission of serving science and technology innovation, Shanghai Kechuang Vocational and Technical College closely focuses on the construction of Shanghai's five centers, the construction of Shanghai's "five new cities", and the positioning of Shanghai's industrial map to cultivate scarce high-skilled talents and serve the national strategy of integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta. Taking intelligence, wisdom, and informatization as the entry point, combined with the development needs of regional economic transformation and industrial upgrading, it gradually established four major professional groups, including intelligent manufacturing, intelligent vehicles, intelligent construction, and intelligent services. The school has modern equipment and facilities for education and teaching, skills training, cultural and sports life, etc. At present, there are 1 China training base for the World Skills Competition and 5 Shanghai player training bases for the World Skills Competition. Player Shao Rupeng represented the Chinese team and won the gold medal in the fine woodworking project of the special competition of the 2022 World Skills Competition in Basel, Switzerland. At the same time, there are 3 open training centers for Shanghai vocational education and 2 district-level training centers.
