School motto: Mingde Hongyi Seeking Truth and Practice, Shanxi General Aviation Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time higher vocational and technical college, jointly organized and managed by the People's Government of Shanxi Province and the People's Government of Datong City, and its business work is subject to inspection and guidance by the Provincial Department of Education. The college is positioned as a higher vocational college, mainly training skilled general aviation talents at the junior college level. The college is an independent pilot unit for the construction of the "one-stop" student community comprehensive management model of the Ministry of Education, a governing unit of the National Industrial UAV Industry Industry-Education Integration Community, a Shanxi Science Popularization Education Base (2021-2025), the first batch of key construction training bases for industry-education integration in Shanxi Province, and the Standing Director Unit of the China Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) in Shanxi Province, AOPA-certified civil UAV pilot training institutions, and members of the Expert Committee of the Shanxi General Aviation Industry Alliance, Advanced Schools of Shanxi Civilized Campus, the first batch of provincial labor education practice bases for primary, secondary and college students, pilot units for pre-recruitment and pre-reserve of military personnel in Shanxi Province, and winners of the May 1st Labor Award in Datong City.
