Shanxi Economic Management Cadre College (Shanxi Economic and Trade Vocational College) is an undergraduate cadre education and training college and a public higher vocational college established in 1984 with the approval of the Shanxi Provincial People's Government. It began to hold higher vocational education in 2000. In January 2008, with the approval of the provincial government, Shanxi Economic and Trade Vocational College was established on the basis of Shanxi Economic Management Cadre College. A talent training pattern has been formed with the training of senior economic management talents as the focus and higher vocational education as the main body. Now it has a team, two brands, and two campuses in the north and south. The college is led by the Shanxi Provincial People's Government and supervised by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Education. It is one of the two colleges of the "one school, two colleges and four bases" for cadre education and training in the province determined by the Organization Department of the Provincial Party Committee. The college currently covers an area of 407 acres and a total construction area of 180,400 square meters. There are currently 1 college, 7 departments and 4 departments with a total of 12 teaching units, 41 higher vocational majors, more than 9,000 students, and more than 10,000 corporate talents are trained annually. It is an excellent college in the talent training evaluation of Shanxi Province, an acceptance unit of the Ministry of Education and Shanxi Province Modern Apprenticeship Pilot School, one of the first batch of national 1+X certificate system pilot colleges, the third batch of modern apprenticeship pilot schools, Shanxi Province Demonstration Higher Vocational College, and Shanxi Province High-quality Higher Vocational College Construction Unit. The college "is based on economics and information and serves Shanxi", with excellent school conditions and strong strength. In line with the development needs of strategic industries in Shanxi Province during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, it has professional groups such as electronic information, equipment manufacturing, finance and trade, economic management and services, and civil engineering and architecture art, connecting with the development directions of Shanxi Province's high-end equipment manufacturing, deep processing and product technology, digital industry, modern service industry, digital creative industry, etc., to cultivate high-quality technical and skilled talents with both moral and technical skills. The college has built 26 online boutique courses, including 1 national boutique course and 6 provincial online boutique courses; 57 on-campus practical teaching bases and 126 off-campus internship training bases. The college currently has 350 full-time teachers, including 98 senior titles, 148 "dual-qualified" teachers, 6 "Sanjin Talents", 10 "provincial dual-qualified teaching masters", "provincial model teachers", "provincial labor models", and 14 "provincial dual-qualified excellent teachers". In the past five years, teachers and students have participated in the national and provincial teaching ability and college student skills competitions, and won 1 national second prize, 3 provincial first prizes, and 30 provincial third prizes; published 348 professional papers at or above the provincial level, completed 1 national fund project, 72 provincial projects, planned 6 textbooks, and held 24 valid patents.
