Shenyang University of Technology is a multi-disciplinary research and application-oriented university that focuses on engineering and covers seven disciplines: engineering, science, economics, management, liberal arts, law, and art. The school was founded in 1949. In 1958, it was promoted to Shenyang Mechanical and Electrical College. In 1985, it was renamed Shenyang University of Technology. In 1998, it was placed under the management of the Liaoning Provincial People's Government by the former Ministry of Machinery Industry. In 2019, it was listed in the "Double First-Class" construction It is a key construction university for the province to hit domestic first-class universities.
