Shijiazhuang Economic Vocational College was founded in the 1990s. It is a general college approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province and the Ministry of Education. It aims to cultivate high-quality and highly skilled professionals in the field of economic management for modern society and independently issue national general higher education diplomas. After decades of development, the school has developed into a comprehensive college with an area of more than 2,000 acres and tens of thousands of students. It has four campuses: secondary vocational school, higher vocational school, Hutuo River campus, and adult vocational education center (transition campus). The secondary vocational school is located on Sanjian Road, Qiaoxi District, Shijiazhuang City, covering an area of 100 acres. It is mainly based on secondary vocational education, including a five-year system. The higher vocational school is located at No. 47, Changshan West Road, Zhengding County, Shijiazhuang, covering an area of 200 acres and a student capacity of 10,000 people. The Hutuo River Campus is located in Sanshengyuan Township, Lingshou County, Shijiazhuang City, covering an area of 1,000 acres. It is the new campus of the college. The land acquisition has been completed and it is under construction. The Adult Vocational Education Center (Transition Campus) is located in Diaoqiao, Zhengding County, Shijiazhuang City. The school has a complete range of disciplines and a reasonable structure. It has five secondary colleges, including the School of Nursing, the School of International Exchange, the School of Film and Television Aviation, the Secondary Vocational College, and the School of Adult Education. There are eight teaching departments, including the Department of Economics and Management, the Department of Nursing, the Department of Information Engineering, the Department of Accounting, the Department of Automotive and Electrical Engineering, the Department of Traffic Management, the Department of Art, and the Department of Early Childhood Education, with a total of 50 majors. Among them, there are 15 teaching reform pilot majors, 9 characteristic majors, 32 school-level boutique courses, and 15 school-level teaching teams; since 2011, it has successfully applied for a number of humanities and social science research projects in Hebei Province’s colleges and universities; since 2011, it has repeatedly won the title of "Excellent School for Clinical Nursing Skills Assessment" jointly awarded by the Provincial Health Department and the Provincial Education Department in the Hebei Province Nursing Teaching Quality Assessment. In 2011, the college was awarded the title of "Shijiazhuang Red Flag League Committee" by the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League; in 2014, it was awarded the title of "Excellent School for Clinical Nursing Skills Assessment" jointly awarded by the Provincial Health Department and the Provincial Education Department in the Hebei Provincial Nursing Teaching Quality Assessment; in 2016, it was awarded the title of "Shijiazhuang Advanced League Committee" by the Shijiazhuang Municipal League Committee; in 2017, it was awarded the title of "The Seventh Hebei Provincial Education System Volunteer Service Advanced Unit"; in 2019, it was awarded the title of "Shijiazhuang Advanced League Committee" by the Shijiazhuang Municipal League Committee. The school currently has more than 10,000 full-time ordinary junior college students and more than 3,000 secondary vocational students. There are more than 1,000 faculty and staff, including 791 full-time teachers, 35 senior professional titles, and 127 associate senior professional titles. The school has strong educational strength, with 158 professional laboratories, 1,730 teaching computers, 960 voice and hearing equipment, 81 multimedia classrooms, and more than 6,000 seats. The library currently has 926,600 books, of which 45,300 were newly added that year, 69,000 electronic books, and more than 375 newspapers and magazines. Under the new educational situation, our college adopts the talent training model of "skill training + academic education + professional qualification certification" to enable our students to have stronger employability when they graduate. Our students can take the junior college to undergraduate examination in the year of graduation and enter key colleges for undergraduate studies, or they can enter foreign universities with cooperative relations with our college to directly study for a master's degree. The school pays attention to the construction of student internship and training bases, implements the school-running philosophy of "one major, one company, and multiple bases", and has signed internship agreements with many employers in Beijing, Zhengzhou, Taiyuan, etc., and established school-enterprise cooperation with more than 100 enterprises in and outside the province. The reform project oriented towards job positions and based on practical application ability, and the comprehensive practice model of graduation based on job internships have been at the forefront of higher vocational colleges in the province. The school adheres to the concept of open school-running and actively carries out all-round and multi-level international exchanges and cooperation. At present, it has established cooperative exchange relations with many universities in South Korea and has established the China-Korea International Exchange College. Every year, foreign experts and scholars come to our school to teach, cooperate in scientific research and carry out academic exchange activities. The school will take "experts in academic management, honest Hebei, professional education, and popular science in China" as its mission to cultivate more compound foreign-related talents for Hebei and even the whole country.
