Sichuan Information Vocational and Technical College is affiliated to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology. It was founded in 1976 and was then called Guangyuan Radio Technical School. In 1994, Sichuan Electronic Industry School was established. In 2001, it was identified as a provincial and ministerial key technical secondary school. In 2004, it was upgraded to Sichuan Information Vocational and Technical College (while retaining the Guangyuan Radio Technical School brand). It is a national high-skilled talent training base, a national "model school for the construction of digital campuses in vocational colleges", a provincial demonstrative higher vocational college, a provincial high-quality higher vocational school, and a provincial high-level higher vocational school construction unit. The school currently has two campuses, covering an area of 520 acres, with 10,127 students and 603 faculty and staff, including 31 senior professors and 113 deputy senior professors. Among full-time teachers, 45.2% have a master's degree, and 40.4% have "dual-qualified" teachers. One person won the national "May 1st Labor Medal", one person won the "Sixth Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Outstanding Teacher Award" and the title of "Sichuan Excellent Teacher", one person was "Sichuan Famous Counselor", one person was "Nominated for the Annual Person of College Counselor", four municipal science and technology top talents and academic leaders, six Shudao talents, one municipal famous teacher, and one municipal vocational education pioneer. In the past two years, teachers participated in the Higher Vocational College Teachers' Teaching Ability Competition and won one national award and 26 provincial awards. The school has nine secondary colleges: the College of Humanities, the College of Marxism, the College of Social Services and International Education, the College of Electronics and Internet of Things, the College of Network and Communications, the College of Software, the College of Modern Manufacturing, the College of Intelligent Control, and the College of Digital Economy. The school offers 35 higher vocational majors, including Internet of Things application technology, software technology, information security and management, artificial intelligence, industrial robot technology, intelligent control technology, and e-commerce. It has established three national key majors, two national modern apprenticeship pilot majors, five provincial modern apprenticeship pilot majors, three provincial key majors, and four provincial demonstration majors. It has built eight corporate colleges, including Huawei, JD.com, Lenovo, and Newland, and set up 23 special classes for companies, including Foxconn, Changdian Technology, Zhuhai Nasda, and Hangzhou Xio Elevator. The proportion of talents jointly cultivated by schools and enterprises has increased year by year, the average employment rate of students is 95%, and the overall satisfaction of employers with graduates is 90%. In recent years, the school has insisted on using party building to guide the high-quality development of the school, and has created one national model branch of party building in colleges and universities, one provincial benchmark college and university party building department, two model branches, and one "double-leader" teacher party branch secretary studio; won one second prize in the National Teaching Achievement Award, one first prize in the Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, six second prizes, and four third prizes; students participated in various provincial and national skill competitions and won more than 550 awards, including more than 100 national awards; won the titles of "National Third Batch of Entrepreneurship Incubation Demonstration Base", "Provincial University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Park", and "Provincial Science and Technology Incubator". It took the lead in establishing the Sichuan Electronic Information Vocational Education Group, and built the Ministry of Education-ZTE ICT Industry Innovation Base, Sichuan Mobile Application Collaborative Innovation Center and other scientific and technological platforms; actively explored the poverty alleviation path of "two drives, four pairings and five assistances", and was rated as an advanced collective in poverty alleviation by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government. It has been rated as an advanced unit for poverty alleviation in colleges and universities in the province by the Provincial Party Committee Education Working Committee and the Provincial Department of Education for three consecutive years; actively participated in the "Belt and Road" education action, and a total of international students from 13 countries came to study at the school, and established cooperative relations with 23 schools and international education institutions in 9 countries. The college adheres to the school motto of "respecting morality, studying hard, and advocating ability", has formed a fine school spirit of "struggle, truth-seeking, and innovation", established the school-running positioning of "based on the information industry and striving to create a first-class western" and has embarked on a road of characteristic development of the integration of production and education in higher vocational education "rooted in the information industry, cultivating information talents, and serving the information society". The school's educational achievements have been widely recognized, and it has won the Fifth Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Excellent School Award, the National Vocational and Technical School Vocational Guidance Advanced School, the National May Fourth Red Flag Youth League Committee, the "2012 National Fitness Activity Advanced Unit" commended by the State General Administration of Sports, Sichuan Province Rule of Law Model School, Sichuan Province Civilized Unit and other honorary titles.
