Sichuan Modern Vocational College is located in Shuangliu District, Chengdu. It is located in the Aviation Port Industrial Park, which is home to many Fortune 500 companies such as China Electronics Panda and BOE, and the Chengdu Free Trade Experimental Zone. The school was founded in 1993 and held a pilot education for academic diplomas. In 2000, it started general undergraduate and junior college education with the support of Sichuan Normal University.
