Tianjin Foreign Studies University Binhai Foreign Affairs College is an independent college engaged in full-time general undergraduate education, jointly established by Tianjin Foreign Studies University and Tianjin Tianwai Education Investment Co., Ltd. in 2004 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Tianjin Foreign Studies University Binhai Foreign Affairs College is located on the beautiful coast of the Bohai Sea, where the four seasons are distinct and the scenery is picturesque. The people of Tianjin live in a warm and hospitable manner; here, nine rivers converge and flow into the Bohai Sea, nurturing the inclusive and open spirit of Tianjin; here is located in the Dagang higher education gathering area, with a strong cultural atmosphere and convenient transportation. Our college adheres to the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and takes Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the "Three Represents" important thought, the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping's New Era Socialist Thought as its guiding ideology. Our college implements the education policy of the Party and the State, and cultivates senior foreign language and foreign-related professionals with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor, and with social responsibility, innovative spirit and practical ability. Our college implements the dean responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors. Run the school in accordance with the college charter, and implement the strategic policies and the "14th Five-Year Plan" development plan formulated by the board of directors. Our college adheres to the rule of law and regulations. Relying on the rich educational resources, strong faculty and good social reputation of Tianjin Foreign Studies University, the developing Binhai Foreign Affairs College has advanced teaching and scientific research rankings and distinctive characteristics. Our college takes foreign languages and literature as its advantageous disciplines, and coordinates the development of multiple disciplines such as economics, law, education, literature, medicine, and management. It currently has 22 undergraduate majors, namely: English, translation, business English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean (Korean), finance, international economics and trade, law, international affairs and international relations, preschool education, journalism, advertising, Chinese international education, nursing, financial management, administrative management, e-commerce and hotel management. Our college has a team of teachers with both moral integrity and ability, among whom there are old professors who enjoy special allowances from the State Council; there are famous teachers and teaching models in Tianjin; there are many experts and scholars with profound academic attainments in various professional fields; there are also a large number of young and middle-aged teachers who are in their prime, love their jobs, and devote themselves to teaching and scientific research. Our college currently has 190 full-time teachers, including 64 full and associate professors, and more than 89% of teachers have master's and doctoral degrees. Every year, our college invites more than ten foreign experts from the United States, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, Spain, Russia and other countries to come to the school for lectures and academic exchanges. At the same time, we also actively introduce teaching resources such as courses and textbooks from well-known foreign universities to carry out cooperation in the field of teaching. Our college has modern teaching methods and advanced audio-visual teaching equipment, with 21 speech laboratories, 72 multimedia classrooms, and 9 computer laboratories; we also have professional laboratories such as simultaneous interpretation, moot court, print media, and nursing; we have 7 languages and 24 sets of international satellite TV reception systems. The library of our college has rich collection resources and a full range of literature. It can be connected to the library of Tianjin Foreign Studies University and shared borrowing. Our college has complete sports facilities, including standard sports fields, football fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts and other outdoor sports facilities, as well as tennis halls, table tennis halls, badminton halls and gyms and other indoor sports venues. After 20 years of unremitting efforts, our college has formed a distinct "international" school-running feature. The college has vigorously promoted exchanges and cooperation with foreign institutions, and has established friendly cooperative relations with more than 40 institutions in more than 10 countries, including the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, France, Spain, Germany, Russia, etc. The current cooperative projects include: "2+2" (double bachelor's degree), "3+1" (language training), "3+1+1" or "2+4" (bachelor-master degree), "4+2" (master), short-term study tours and various online projects, including scholarship programs such as scholarship students from the other institutions and government scholarship students. Up to now, the college has sent nearly 2,000 students to study and further their studies abroad, many of whom have studied in the graduate schools of famous universities in their countries or worked in Fortune 500 companies after graduation. The proportion of master's students admitted to our college at home and abroad has remained above 10% for many years, and some majors are even as high as 33%. In the 20 years since its establishment, the college has been committed to cultivating students' independent learning ability and cross-cultural communication ability, highlighting the weight of foreign language teaching to enhance students' language advantages, and cultivating a large number of applied, compound and foreign-related talents. They play an increasingly important role in the country's economic construction and opening up to the outside world. According to the interviews and surveys of the graduates' employers, the employers are very satisfied with our graduates' collaboration ability, social skills, practical ability and ideological quality. Among them, more than 66% of the employers have an increasing demand for our graduates.
