Tianjin Modern Vocational and Technical College was established in 2001. It was the first batch to settle in Tianjin Haihe Education Park. It is a public full-time higher vocational college. The college has always adhered to the school motto of "striving for excellence", governed the school according to law, served Tianjin, and faced the whole country. It won the fourth national "Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award Excellent School Award". The college jointly trains technical and skilled talents at the four-year and two-year undergraduate level with Tianjin University of Commerce and Sino-German University of Applied Sciences. The college has 37 majors, including 1 high-level professional group with Chinese characteristics supported by the central government; 4 national backbone majors; 8 key construction majors supported by the central government; 3 Tianjin municipal teaching reform pilot majors; 10 Tianjin municipal key construction majors; 4 college-level specialty construction majors. It has 46 on-campus training bases and 208 off-campus training bases. Among them, the aviation simulation driving training base, the GMP preparation production training base and the Tianjin-Hebei Food Industry Association school-enterprise training base have been recognized as national-level productive training bases by the Ministry of Education; the food and drug "dual-qualified" teacher training base has been recognized as a national-level "dual-qualified" teacher training base; the UAV production and manufacturing collaborative innovation center and the biopharmaceutical application technology collaborative innovation center have been recognized as national-level collaborative innovation centers; the watch master studio has been recognized as a national-level skill master studio. The college closely combines the distinctive industry characteristics of the organizer and the regional economic characteristics of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. In accordance with the professional construction concept of "connecting with industries, optimizing structures, coordinated development, and strengthening characteristics", it actively connects with high-end industries and industrial high-ends, continuously optimizes and adjusts professional layout, and forms 7 major professional clusters. The college has always been committed to the teaching research and reform of higher vocational education. The research and practice of the integrated teaching workshop model of production and training won the second prize of national teaching achievements in higher education and the first prize of Tianjin teaching achievements; the research and practice of "organizing reserve forces in higher vocational colleges and jointly cultivating technical and skilled talents in military enterprises and schools" won the second prize of national teaching achievements and the first prize of Tianjin teaching achievements; the reform and practice of the talent training system of high-end watchmakers in China based on modern apprenticeship system won the second prize of national teaching achievements and the special prize of Tianjin teaching achievements. He presided over the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" project of the National Higher Vocational Education "Research on the Model of Joint Training of High-skilled NCOs by the Military and Local Government". The college has hosted the National Vocational College Skills Competition 11 times, and has won 8 first prizes, 5 second prizes, and 4 third prizes in the National Skills Competition in the past five years. In the past five years, our teachers have won 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, and 2 third prizes in the National Vocational College Teaching Ability Competition. The college is a member unit of the Tianjin Institute of Education and Management of Foreign Students in Colleges and Universities, and has employed 4 foreign experts and teachers and 1 part-time professor. Teachers have been sent to 13 countries including Germany, Switzerland, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau for professional training. In July 2018, the Pakistan Luban Workshop was launched in Punjab Province, Pakistan, and its training courses were incorporated into the local vocational education system. The construction of internationalized curriculum standards for three majors, including precision machinery technology, has been completed, and the level of internationalized advantageous professional construction has been continuously improved. The college is located in Tianjin Haihe Education Park, covering an area of 800 acres, with a greening rate of 51%. It has a large stadium and a cultural and sports center, which can fully meet the needs of students' study and life. There are 10,800 students on campus and 33 international students. In the past three years, the first choice admission rate has been 100%, and the average employment rate of graduates has been over 98%.
