Tianjin University of Technology Zhonghuan Information College was established in 2005 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is a full-time general undergraduate college jointly founded by Tianjin University of Technology and Tianjin Zhonghuan Electronic Information Group Co., Ltd. It is located in Yangliuqing, a thousand-year-old town with a long history and profound cultural heritage. The college adheres to the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people, aims at the direction of national higher education reform and development and the coordinated development strategy of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, takes the cultivation of high-quality application-oriented talents as its mission, and strives to build an application-oriented university with the characteristics of industry-education collaborative education. In 2020, the college was approved as a university for the construction of a master's degree-granting unit in Tianjin. The college has five teaching departments, namely, Automation Engineering Department, Mechanical Engineering Department, Electronic Information Engineering Department, Computer Engineering Department, and Economics and Management Department. It offers 26 majors (including directions), including Automation, Electrical Engineering and Automation, Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Control, Smart Grid Information Engineering, Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, Mechanical Electronics Engineering, Material Forming and Control Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Electronic Information Science and Technology, Electronic Information Engineering, Communication Engineering, Internet of Things Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Technology, Software Engineering, Digital Media Technology, Data Science and Big Data Technology, Engineering Management, Logistics Management, Financial Management, and Human Resources Management. The college has formed a coordinated development trend of multi-disciplinary disciplines with engineering as the main focus, engineering, management, and science. At present, the college has 3 first-class undergraduate professional construction sites at the Tianjin municipal level, 9 first-class undergraduate construction courses in Tianjin, 1 course ideological and political demonstration course in Tianjin colleges and universities, and more than 8,500 students (including those from higher vocational colleges to undergraduates and from secondary vocational colleges to undergraduates). The college attaches great importance to the reform of practical teaching and the cultivation of students' hands-on ability, actively promotes the application-oriented talent training model of "industry-university integration, school-enterprise cooperation", cooperates extensively with well-known enterprises and social institutions, connects with major national and regional strategies, and provides a broad stage for students to improve their professional skills, strengthen their practical skills, enhance their employment competitiveness and social adaptability. At present, the college has 1 national new engineering research and practice project, 47 industry-university cooperation and collaborative education projects of the Ministry of Education, 3 Tianjin technology innovation guidance special projects, and 4 municipal education reform projects. The college has complete supporting facilities for experimental teaching, including 2 Tianjin Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers, 4 Tianjin Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Construction Projects, and 67 basic and professional experiments and training rooms such as automation, machinery, electronics, computers, and economics and management. The college adheres to the school-running philosophy of "everything for students, everything for students", takes students' needs as the guide, actively opens up employment channels, continuously strengthens employment guidance, and recommends outstanding graduates to work in enterprises. The employment rate of graduates has always remained at the forefront of similar universities.
