Tianjin Vocational College of Commerce was founded in 1955 and is affiliated to the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce. The school adheres to the school motto of "Houde Shangneng, Encourage Learning and Promote Business". Through the unremitting efforts of all teachers and students in the school, it has become a high-level vocational college with strong faculty, distinctive school characteristics, and systematic training of high-skilled talents in the modern service industry. It has been approved as the first batch of higher vocational demonstration schools in Tianjin, Tianjin's "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" and "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" high-level demonstration schools, "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" world advanced level higher vocational colleges and "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" Tianjin High-level Vocational Colleges, won the national "Huang Yanpei Excellent School Award", and was rated as the first in Tianjin's most beautiful campus (higher vocational group) and Tianjin Civilized Campus. In the past three years, the implementation rate of students' graduation destinations has ranked among the top five universities in the city for consecutive years. The school currently has three campuses: Haihe Education Park Campus, Hedong Campus and Hexi Campus, with a total area of 500,000 square meters and a building area of 190,000 square meters. There are more than 10,000 full-time students, and a teaching staff with a reasonable age structure, academic structure, and academic background structure, rich teaching experience, and strong scientific research strength. It has the School of Marxism, 8 secondary professional teaching colleges and 3 teaching departments. The integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation have achieved fruitful results. It took the lead in establishing the Tianjin Business Industry Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee and made positive contributions to the development of Tianjin's economic, social and vocational education. The Journal of Tianjin Business Vocational College, which it hosts, is one of the only five journals of higher vocational colleges in Tianjin. The school has established friendly cooperative relations with colleges and universities in more than 20 countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Denmark, South Korea, Thailand, etc., and has built the Moroccan Luban Workshop with the Aye Assani I Institute of Applied Technology in Morocco. Teachers and students are regularly sent to foreign colleges and universities to carry out training exchanges, educational cooperation, overseas internships and training and other activities. The education of international students has obvious characteristics. The number of international students has maintained a leading level among higher vocational colleges in Tianjin for many years. It is currently the only higher vocational college in Tianjin with the qualification to recruit students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
