Tieling Teachers College is a full-time general college approved by the Ministry of Education. It was formed by the merger of the former Tieling Normal School, Tieling Teachers College and Tieling Workers University. It has gone through a glorious history of 70 years since its establishment in 1949. The original site of the school was Lingdong Street, Yinzhou District. It moved to the current campus in September 2009. The campus covers an area of 507 acres and a building area of 200,000 square meters. There are 72 laboratories of various types and functions, 4 comprehensive on-campus training bases, 48 off-campus internship training bases, and teaching equipment with a total value of 76 million yuan. The school currently has 46 majors, covering 11 major categories and 23 professional categories.
