Tongji University Zhejiang College was officially established in May 2008 with the approval of the Ministry of Education of China. It is jointly organized by Tongji University, Hongda Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Jiaxing Education Development Investment Co., Ltd. It is an independent college with independent legal personality and full-time undergraduate education operated according to new mechanisms and new models. Relying on the comprehensive advantages of Tongji University, a century-old prestigious university, the school sets up majors according to the needs of domestic and foreign economic and social development and the development trend of modern science and technology. The school has 33 majors (directions) including civil engineering, traffic engineering, transportation, building environment and energy application engineering, environmental engineering, water supply and drainage science and engineering, architecture, materials science and engineering, mechanical design and manufacturing and automation, rail transit signal and control, medical imaging technology, automobile, electrical engineering and automation, computer science and technology, automation, electronic information engineering, communication engineering, business administration, accounting, financial management, auditing, international economy and trade, finance, administrative management, English, German, building electrical and intelligent, automotive service engineering, gem and material technology, arts and crafts, cultural industry management, and mechanical and electronic engineering. The school currently has more than 9,500 full-time undergraduate students. The school implements the "talent-strengthening school" strategy, attaches great importance to the construction of the teaching staff, and strives to build a teaching staff with both moral integrity and ability, who attach equal importance to professional titles and academic qualifications, teaching experience and practical ability, and continuously improve the teaching quality. At present, relying on the strong teaching staff of Tongji University, the school has a full-time teaching team of more than 520 outstanding teachers, of which 20% have senior professional titles, 50% have associate senior titles and above, and more than 60% have master's degrees and above.
